On August 11th, we will kick off our 30th year of the Leadership Cape Coral Program and I would like to encourage all of you to look at what this program has to offer in terms of your personal and professional development.

Leadership Cape Coral is one of the most comprehensive and community invested Leadership programs in the state. Since its inception, graduates of the Leadership Cape Coral program have not only gone on to hold public office or give back through leadership in community organizations, but they have also created legacy projects that continue to give back to our community. For example, through class projects alone, our alumni have donated more than $250,000 dollars to local nonprofits and community programs. That is our Legacy of Leadership.

This proactive 13-week program is designed to help you learn about the infrastructure that drives our city, meet local dignitaries and community leaders, tour facilities not open to the general public and learn how to support our community. This comprehensive program begins with a kick-off retreat in August on a Friday and requires an overnight stay until Saturday. The program will continue every Thursday completing with a Graduation gala in November. The program is held at various locations throughout the city and county.

Under the direction of the Chamber of Commerce of Cape Coral, Leadership Cape Coral has been formed to develop year after year a pool of leaders that share a common knowledge and vision for the city.

Scholarships will be available, and we can put you on a list to receive information when it becomes available, please contact [email protected] for more information.

But do not only take my word for it, check out what some of our alumni have to say about their Leadership experiences and why they recommend it.

♫ We are 2003

Wow! As hard as it is to believe, it has been 20 years since I experienced Leadership Cape Coral as part of the Class of 2003.

By committing yourself to this program, you open many doors like learning about our community through the eyes of your classmates and the many volunteers that make up the Day Chairs, Program Chairs and Facilitators, establishing long lasting relationships with your classmates, creating opportunities to grow your personal character and your business, building an awareness of the many needs of our community and a sense of wanting to give back through volunteering or in some other positive way.

I was extremely fortunate to be a part of the Class of 2003, the best class ever, Co-Chair the Class of 2004 with Patti Schnell and Co-Chair the Class of 2005 with Chris Ferrer. They are two of the finest individuals that I have ever known. They taught me the importance of giving of oneself to help others.

Experience Leadership Cape Coral and meet some of Cape Coral’s finest people. Get involved. Stay involved.
